What earns a place
We buy household and general merchandise in the quantities a small unit can turn over. Kitchen and tableware, storage and cleaning, garden and hardware, soft furnishing, stationery and the small electricals that need no installation. A line earns its bay by selling steadily rather than by selling once.
Stock is bought outright and stands in our own bays. That single fact settles most of what follows: we can weigh it, we can measure it, we can photograph the thing itself, and we can count what is left at the end of the day. A line we hold is a line we can describe honestly.
New lines go through a bench check before they go up. The pack is opened, the contents counted against the printing on the outside, the item weighed as it will be sold, and the longest side measured with the pack closed. Those four numbers follow the line for as long as we sell it.
A line leaves the site the moment the last one leaves the bay, unless more is already on its way to us. Where it is on its way, the bay keeps its label and the listing stays down until the pallet lands and is counted in.

What the listing carries
Every line on the site is built from the same set of fields. The bench fills each one from the stock, and a field with nothing verifiable behind it is left off rather than guessed at.
Trade name
The name the maker prints on the pack, spelled as the pack spells it.
Size or capacity
Litres, millilitres, grams or millimetres, taken from the item rather than from the catalogue entry.
Colour
Named only where the line comes in more than one, and named as the maker names it.
Pack quantity
How many units come in the pack you are buying, stated as a pack and sold as a pack.
Weight
The figure our own scales returned with the pack closed, which is also the figure the box class is set from.
Photographs
Taken of the stock on our shelf, in the pack it ships in, under the light the unit has.
Packs, singles and the difference
A pack quantity is the most common thing a mail-order listing gets wrong, so it sits high on ours. Where the maker cases six units together and we sell the case, the listing says six and the picker counts one case into the tote. Where we split a case and sell singles, the listing says one and the bay label says singles too.
Multi-packs are counted as packs and never as loose units, because that is how the listing sells them. The pick sheet prints the same word the listing used, so the picker and the buyer are reading one description between them.
Where a maker changes a pack part-way through a run, we split the listing and sell the two versions apart. The old pack keeps its bay until it is gone, and the new one opens a bay of its own with its own weight and its own photographs. Nobody buys the old description and receives the new pack.
Where we cannot verify a claim printed on the box, the claim stays off the page. A figure we have not weighed, a capacity we have not measured and a use we have not tested belong to the maker's packaging rather than to our listing.
When a description is wrong
A wrong description is corrected the moment we see it, and the correction runs backwards as well as forwards. We pull the line off the site first, so nobody else buys the wrong words while the fix is being written.
Then the wording is put right against the stock in the bay. The bench re-measures, re-weighs and re-photographs where the error touched any of those, and the bay label is reprinted to match.
Then the correction runs back through the orders. Every order already picked against the old wording is checked, and yours is one of them. After yours turns up in that check, you hear from us before the parcel goes anywhere.
You choose what happens next: take the line as it actually is, drop it and take the rest of the order, or cancel outright. A dropped line comes off the order, and the money for it goes back the way it came in. After a line comes back because we described it badly, the return carriage comes back to you as well.

Asking about a line
Write to fulfilment@clickmartltd.store with the line as it appears on the site. Ask for a measurement we have not printed and the bench will go and take it, unless the pack has to be opened to get it.
Put the word listed on the first line of the message and it reaches this bench first time.
